A private wellness space
If you’re in a situation where you might not have time to use a personal inhaler or want to be seen to use one, then an aroma patch is a great option. You’ll get all the benefits of your chosen blend or essential oil with no one else being any the wiser.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
This is a very simple patch that sits on your skin. The essential oils don’t ever touch your skin, and your skin doesn’t absorb them, unlike, say, using a nicotine patch. A patch is another way to diffuse essential oils easily wherever your day takes you.
-
It’s straightforward.
Tear open the packet, slide out the patch and remove the top layer that says “Peel”. You’ll then be able to see the small cotton dot.
This will either be ready to go or, if you’ve chosen the unfragranced version, then add a couple of drops of your chosen oil. I don’t recommend adding more than that, as it will be too intense.
Now remove the transparent plastic tab at the back to reveal a sticky part. Apply the sticky part to your skin. I’d suggest at the top of your chest so you can easily smell it as you walk around.
The glue in the sticky part is hypoallergenic and medical grade, so it’s suitable for sensitive skin.

They are very safe to use.
Inhalation is fast and effective with little to no accumulation risk.
When you inhale an aroma, its effect halves about every 35 minutes (the half-life). This is why the accumulation risk in the body is minimal.
Aroma Patches are designed to be a gentle passive diffusion of aromatherapy oils to help you through the day.
-
It can stay on all day, on your skin or attached to your clothes if you’d prefer.
Personally, I take it off at night or when I have a shower. I stick it to the side of my bed, add the Yatlina Sleep Blend, and use it as a passive bedside diffuser.
The aroma patch is designed for occasional use rather than every day. It’s a useful and practical alternative for the times when you can’t carry or use your personal inhaler.
-
The patch can last for up to 8 hours, so it is enough for a full day and can even last longer. I had a client who was still using her patch three days later and could still smell it.
-
Yes you can.
The aroma patch piece that goes on the skin is metal free and suitable for use with MRI machines.
